Intro + Her-story

Meet R. Riveter, a handmade + heartfelt + American-made + woman-owned company that gives back in a big way!

Founded in 2011 by military wives Lisa Bradley & Cameron Cruse, R. Riveter was born out of a need for meaningful work and financial security that military spouses are often troubled in finding. When you move around the world every 2-3 years, it can be difficult to find a job at all, let alone one that you can keep when the inevitable next move comes along.

A Brand on a Mission

R.Riveter was founded on the American ideal that opportunity and innovation, when combined with determination, will create a positive impact.

The name was inspired by World War II cultural icon Rosie the Riveter who symbolizes the contribution women made to the workforce that helped win the war. Rosie the Riveter embodies everything that we stand for. Our mission is a bit more modern, but her spirit and 'we can do it' attitude still apply.

Fun Fact

The makers, or "riveters", create different components of the products. They work from home - wherever that may be (we even have one right here in Orange Park!) - so that they may keep their job as they get moved around the world from station to station, offering fulfilling and meaningful work, job security, and additional income and support to military families.

Why We Love It

The mission: I love that R.Riveter's mission supports women, military, US history, and entrepreneurship. They educate and honor - through their products and social media - lesser known women of history who had a big impact on our country. I appreciate their "we can do it" attitude and their drive to solve a problem.
The quality: When you pick up an R.Riveter bag, you're going to instantly notice the quality. From the leather to the hardware, the attention to detail makes my heart happy!
The style: I've always loved military-style. I wear it often in my clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Literally ANY of their bags compliment this aesthetic! And their signature "fatigue" color is my jam!

woman-owned: women are - in addition to artists and creators - innovators and problem solvers, and more and more, becoming providers and supporters of our families. As a woman-owned-and-operated brand, Anemoia loves to support and promote other woman-led companies - especially independent entrepreneurs
not on Amazon: as a small business, we love to promote other small businesses that don't cave to the pressures of a society spoiled by online mega retailers who lower the overall value and standards of products, which cause massive problems for brands and their retailers.
