In principle you can combine your favourite Lamy Fountain pen with any Lamy nib to create your perfect writing instrument. The LAMY 2000 is an exception to this rule as it has its own special nib. Please ask your trusted Lamy retailer to swap your nib for you, particularly in the case of sensitive gold or specialist nibs.

Writers with a straight grip will feel particularly at ease with these nibs: straight nibs are available from Lamy in sizes EF (extra fine), F (fine), B (broad) and stub/calligraphy nibs ranging from 1.1 to 1.9. There's even a nib (LH) designed specifically for left-handed writers.
Calligraphy nibs are also known as cursive or italic nibs. Rather than having an iridium ball, they have a straight, flat tip. This permits the writer to create a script with different stroke weights – perfect for beautiful penmanship.
Calligraphy nibs (Z50) available sizes: 1.1 mm / 1.5 mm / 1.9 mm.
Suitable for all LAMY models, except LAMY 2000.
Tip: when choosing the correct nib width the important thing is the size of your own handwriting: the smaller your script, the finer the nib should be. A larger script on the other hand will generally look better with a broad nib.
Compatible with: LAMY ABC, Accent, Aion, Al-Star, cp1, Dialog 3, Imporium, Joy, Logo, Lx, Nexx, Pur, Safari, Scala, Studio, and Vista fountain pens
Note: As part of quality control, LAMY tests their pens before letting them leave the factory. Because of this you may find residual ink on your pen or pen nibs. This is completely normal. Your pen is brand new and will work just fine.

Weighty and substantial but slim enough for very small hands to remain comfortable. I went with EF and it has been very consistent without skipping or issue. The clip is tight enough to perform adequately.
Anemoia was nice enough to juice up my pen at a pen show with Tom’s Studio ink and I was thrilled. Will be stopping by the store for more goodies soon.
Fabulous pen. I love how well the shape of the bulbous part seats in my hand with well balanced weight. I love that the brass nib holder is easily adjusted to suit an angle that works best for me, and that it is capable of use for left, and right handed persons.
