Simple shapes come to life in the quirky pop art of Eric Comstock.
An illustrator, designer and children’s book author, Comstock spent over a decade in advertising before taking up illustration full time. His retro sensibilities and diverse inspirations give his work a distinct and sought-after look, leading to collaborations with Hallmark and Land of Nod, among others.
Comstock takes his inspiration from everything from his own child’s drawings to his collection of jazz albums, imbuing each work with uninhibited imagination. Today, he lives in Austin, Texas, and has recently released his first children’s book, Charlie Piechart and the Case of the Missing Pizza Slice, with Marilyn Sadler.
Featuring four unique pieces by Comstock, these delightful softcover notebooks combine mid-century details with bright colours and bold shapes, catching the eye of children and adults alike. Inspired by their retro sensibilities and party atmosphere, we’ve named them after some of our favourite songs of the ’50s and ’60s.

The Notepad that was sent did not include the screw set .. I chatted with the representative and they were going to contact me back and never did
These are great for so many things- ornaments, Journaling or tags
Good clip. It doesn't stick up past the top of the page and get in the way like other brass clips.
Weighty and substantial but slim enough for very small hands to remain comfortable. I went with EF and it has been very consistent without skipping or issue. The clip is tight enough to perform adequately.
Anemoia was nice enough to juice up my pen at a pen show with Tom’s Studio ink and I was thrilled. Will be stopping by the store for more goodies soon.
Fabulous pen. I love how well the shape of the bulbous part seats in my hand with well balanced weight. I love that the brass nib holder is easily adjusted to suit an angle that works best for me, and that it is capable of use for left, and right handed persons.
This a a place that has something for everyone. The items are different, beautiful, and allows you to be as creative as you want.
You can shape it to look like roots on a tree.
I love the texture it adds.
