Journal Junkies

Creativity + Journaling + Community

Part journaling club. Part creative playground. Part accountability group. Part excuse to actually use all those beautiful supplies you've been hoarding.

Journal Junkies is our four-month creative journaling club for people who want to make more, journal more, try new things, and do it alongside people who get it.

You don't need to be an artist. You don't need beautiful handwriting. You don't need an established journaling practice—or even know what kind of journaler you are yet.

You just need to show up.

Every other Thursday, we'll gather around the table to experiment with different styles of journaling, play with new tools and materials, make something together (but never exactly the same), and slowly build a creative practice that can survive outside the classroom.

Because buying the journal is easy.

Actually using the damn thing? That's where Journal Junkies comes in.

So... what do Journal Junkies actually do?

A little bit of everything.

Throughout the semester, we'll explore different approaches to journaling—including junk journaling, art journaling, bullet journaling, travel journaling, stream-of-consciousness writing, morning pages, memory keeping, creative planning, and whatever other rabbit holes we wander into along the way.

You'll get:

  • Bi-weekly creative meetups with fellow journalers and makers

  • Hands-on guided projects and experiments with different journaling styles, techniques, tools, and materials

  • Access to Anemoia's ridiculous stash of creative goodies—paper, stamps, inks, writing instruments, ephemera, dies, tools, and more

  • Accountability, prompts, challenges, and incentives to help you keep creating between meetings

  • Swap meets to turn your lovingly hoarded stash into somebody else's exciting new treasure

  • A private Facebook group + WhatsApp chat so the conversation, inspiration, encouragement, and enabling can continue between meetings

  • Member-only discounts on select materials we use in class—because sometimes you use the stamp and immediately realize that, unfortunately, you now require the stamp

  • Insider perks, including first access to select classes, workshops, and events; product sneak peeks; and invitation-only shopping opportunities

Most importantly, you'll have a table full of people expecting to see you again in two weeks.

And sometimes that's exactly what a creative habit needs.

Your Fall Journal Junkies Kit

This semester starts with one heck of a stash.

Your kit includes:

  • An A5 six-ring vegan leather planner in your choice of color

  • Elizabeth Craft Designs Reminiscence Book 10

  • 3-piece A5 stencil set

  • Book 10 Borders & Labels Stickers

  • Weekly Planner Clear Stamp Set

  • 36 sheets of A5 Tomoe River dot-grid writing paper

  • 52 die-cut ephemera pieces coordinating with Reminiscence Book 10

  • A travel-size bottle of Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue

Plus, expect a few additional goodies to find their way into your hands throughout the semester.

And that's just the take-home stuff.

Your subscription also includes all of the tools and materials needed to complete each meeting's featured page or project.

We'll supply the weird little thing you only need three inches of. The specialty tool you wanted to try but weren't ready to buy. The paper you absolutely would have walked past on the shelf until somebody showed you what it could become.

If you have to miss a meeting, we'll do our best to package that session's materials into a kit for you to pick up.

The Homework That Pays

Yes. There is homework.

No. We are not sorry.

You'll receive a fresh set of journaling prompts after each meeting to keep you creating between sessions.

Complete your prompts before the next meeting and you'll earn the right to plunder the Journal Junkies Treasure Chest for free goodies.

You'll also earn raffle tickets for every meeting you attend, with opportunities to earn additional tickets through bonus challenges and assignments throughout the semester.

At our end-of-semester party, you'll cash those tickets in for chances to win some seriously good creative loot.

In other words:

We are not above bribing you into developing a healthy creative habit.

Why a Subscription?

We know four months sounds like a commitment.

That's intentional.

Journal Junkies isn't designed as a drop-in class. It's a small, closed creative community that spends a semester together.

There are two big reasons for that:

1. Community takes time.

Creative work can get surprisingly personal.

Over the semester, you'll get to know the people sitting around that table. You'll see their styles develop. You'll celebrate victories, swap ideas, share supplies, enable purchases, laugh at spectacular creative failures, and probably learn considerably more about one another than anyone originally intended.

Keeping the group closed once the semester begins gives those relationships room to develop.

Registration is limited, and once the semester begins, enrollment closes.

2. Creative habits don't happen because we bought another notebook.

Most of us don't suffer from a shortage of creative intentions.

We suffer from life getting in the way.

Journal Junkies gives you a recurring date with your creativity: every other Thursday, the table is waiting, the supplies are out, and your people are there.

Four months gives us enough time to move beyond "I should journal more" and begin building a practice that actually belongs in your life.

When Do We Meet?

Our first meeting is:

Thursday, August 27 • 6:00–8:30 PM

Our first session begins 30 minutes earlier than usual so we'll have plenty of time for introductions, orientation, kit ogling, and getting settled.

After that, Journal Junkies meets every other Thursday from 6:30–8:30 PM.

We occasionally get carried away—and sessions may run up to 30 minutes long. If you need to leave at 8:30, though, we promise not to barricade the door.

Fall 2026 Dates

  • August 27 — 6:00 PM start

  • September 10

  • September 24

  • October 8

  • October 22

  • November 5

  • November 19

  • December 3

  • December 17 — End-of-Semester Party

Who Is Journal Junkies For?

Journal Junkies is for you if you've ever:

Bought a beautiful journal and then been afraid to mess it up.

Started seventeen journals and finished approximately none of them.

Saved 4,000 journaling ideas on Pinterest while somehow doing zero journaling.

Wanted to try art journaling but decided you "aren't artistic."

Collected enough paper, stickers, stamps, pens, inks, washi, and mysterious scraps of ephemera to open a very small craft store of your own.

Promised yourself, "I'm going to start journaling again."

Or simply wished you had creative people to sit around a table with.

You don't have to know what you're doing.

That's rather the point.

Come find out what kind of journaler you are.

Ready to Become a Junkie?

Registration closes August 24.

Space is limited, and because Journal Junkies is designed as a closed semester-long group, we cannot add new members once the semester begins.

We've also heard you: this semester has been shortened to four months to make planning—and committing—a little easier.

But we haven't shortened the experience.

If anything, we've packed more into it.

Your kit is better. The creative experiments continue. The prompts continue. The ridiculous stash of supplies continues. The treasure chest continues.

And every other Thursday, your seat at the table is waiting.

Shipping Information

Our on-line store is open 24/7 and we ship Tuesday through Friday, excluding some holidays. Orders received for products without shipping restrictions on its product page will ship within 48 hours on business days. Orders in high demand will have an estimated production time listed on its product page and will ship according to the date listed.

Shipping Timeframe
We do our best to ship all in-stock orders within 24-48 hours (with the exception of Sunday and Monday, as we are closed). That being said, we are a very small operation and sometimes fulfillment may be slightly delayed. If you need your order by a specific date, please be sure to choose the fastest available shipping speed, and add a note in the "Special Instructions" box at the bottom of your cart (or contact us directly).

Large items, such as E+E Wall Mounts, are often stocked at our warehouse and require a lot of extra time and attention to package safely. Please allow an extra 48 hours to get these items out to you.

Shipping Costs
Our goal is to provide you awesome products and fantastic service - not to profit from shipping charges. Our system automatically calculates shipping based solely on the weight of the item. In some cases, you may be overcharged for shipping. When this happens, we will either refund the shipping overage (in the event of a large discrepancy) or upgrade your shipping (in the event of a small discrepancy). In the event that you’re undercharged for shipping, we will cover the difference at no additional cost to you.

Shipping Discounts
As with all discount codes from all stores, shipping discounts do have limitations and exceptions. For example, they typically do not cover large items or shipping rates over a certain dollar amount.

Shipping-Related Damages
We inspect every product when it comes in and when it ships out, and use excessive care in packaging all orders, in hopes of avoiding any potential issues on the customer's end. Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately in the unlikely event that the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

For UPS Shipments - We handle the claim.
If damage occurs in transit, your cooperation will be required to facilitate a damage claim in order to issue a refund. To expedite the process, please send, along with your refund request, clear, well-lit photos of the following:

  • all sides of the box, especially any damage to the box
  • the label
  • inner packaging
  • the item and damage to the item
  • in some cases, the carrier will request an onsite inspection, so please retain all packaging until the claims process has been completed

For USPS Shipments - You handle the claim.
USPS requires the physical item and original packaging, so the quickest way to file the claim is to take the item and all of the original packaging to the nearest post office and file the claim.

We do not accept back damaged merchandise, so complying with the above instructions is the only way to receive a refund for damaged products. Refunds/replacements for damaged products will be issued once the shipping claim has been completed.
